Encarna González

I am Encarna González. I have been a dedicated member of Colegio Alarcón since 1994, where I served as the Head of the Language Department for over 20 years and was part of the School Management Team for nearly eight. Currently, I am the Dual Diploma Program Director and an English teacher, leading subjects such as World Contemporary History, Universal Literature, and Middle School Critical Thinking.
Since implementing the Dual Diploma in 2018, I have witnessed its extraordinary impact. Beyond academic results—with our school consistently maintaining an average above 9.0—the program’s true value lies in its unique advantages for the Spanish educational context. It offers a seamless path to internationalization, allowing students to reach their full potential and open doors to Spanish universities without compromise. It is a transformative experience where students don’t just ‘learn English’; they immerse themselves in an authentic American environment through live sessions and global interactions.
What makes this program essential is how it fosters autonomy, responsibility, and digital maturity. I was particularly moved when our Dual students became ‘digital mentors’ for their peers during the pandemic, proving they are not just students, but responsible leaders prepared for the challenges of a globalized world.
