In Criminal Justice Operations 1, a one-credit course, is designed to introduce students to the fields of law enforcement, the court system, and the correctional system. This course provides technical skill proficiency, industry content knowledge and competency-based applied learning that contributes to the higher-order reasoning and problem-solving skills, work attitudes, general employability skills, technical skills, and occupation-specific skills, needed in all aspects of Law, Public Safety and Security Careers. This course is about criminal justice and its development. Due to the nature of this subject, the material can be very detailed and in some cases shocking. The lab projects involve all aspects of the various professions in order to present a complete picture.
