Hello everyone! My name is Soledad Alarcón, and I am an English teacher. I have been teaching at Colegio Sagrados Corazones de Manquehue for 20 years. Our school joined the Dual Diploma Program this year, and I am the program coordinator at our school, located in Vitacura, Santiago, Chile.
As an English teacher, taking on the role of coordinator this year has been a challenge and a rewarding journey. While launching this program has presented a wonderful challenge for both myself and our students, it has also opened up a world of opportunities.
Stepping into the Dual Diploma universe requires adaptability, time management, and a growth mindset. I have watched our students step out of their comfort zones, embrace autonomous learning, and significantly level up their English and digital literacy skills.
My main goal is to guide, support, and inspire our students to reach their full potential as global citizens. I expect this program to not only grant them an international high school diploma but to also build their confidence, critical thinking, and independence. I am confident that the tools they are acquiring today will open doors to bright futures, both locally and internationally.
