My name is , and I serve as the Director of the Dual Bachelor’s Program at San Estanislao de Kostka School in Salamanca. I like to think of myself as a global citizen; hailing from Extremadura, born in Madrid, raised in Eindhoven (Netherlands), and a true Salamanca enthusiast. I hold a degree in English Philology and have certifications in Teaching a Second Language (with a focus on English) and Physical Education. Moreover, I’ve earned two Master’s degrees in Bilingual Education and have had the privilege of receiving training in various countries, including the United States and New Zealand. I have a deep passion for all things related to languages, with a special affinity for Shakespeare’s native tongue.
Overall, the purpose of language immersion is to hand out a powerful and effective life-changing experience that provides learners with many benefits, enabling them to become competent, proficient, self-confident, and culturally aware.
Additionally, language immersion provides our students with an opportunity to meet and connect with native speakers, learn about different cultures and ways of life, form intercultural friendships, develop an appreciation for diversity, and a greater sense of Independence and resilience, which is beneficial in today’s interconnected world. They may also be exposed to new ideas and perspectives that broaden their horizons and help them become more open-minded.
