Global TeacherWhat inspires me most about teaching is my belief that every student can learn, grow, and discover their strengths. I want my students to develop a genuine love of learning and become confident, curious, lifelong learners and problem solvers. I am excited to be part of Academica International Studies and connect with students from different cultures and backgrounds through a global virtual learning environment.
I was born in Madrid, Spain, and grew up in Miami, Florida. After graduating from Florida International University with a degree in Architectural Technology, I began my career in the architectural field. As my family grew, I became very involved in the education of my three children.
In 2017, I moved to Key Largo and began my next career as an educator with Monroe County School District. I hold certifications in English, Social Sciences, ESE, and ESOL, and in 2024 I was honored as the Inclusion Teacher of the Year at Coral Shores High School. I feel fortunate to call the beautiful Florida Keys home. Outside of teaching. I love anything ocean-related, traveling with my family, and volunteering in my community. I believe that travel is one of the greatest forms of education because it opens our minds to new cultures, perspectives, and the amazing world beyond our own.
