Christine Young

Global Teacher

Hello, my name is Christine Young and I currently live in Palm Beach, Florida. Originally from Colorado, my husband and I have done some moving around before settling in Florida. I graduated from University of Northern Colorado in 2015, with my Bachelor’s in Secondary English Education, then in 2017 received my Master’s in Educational Leadership, and in 2023 received my Master’s in English. I started teaching English in 2015, and then moved to California in 2017 where I taught Special Education for several years. In 2019, I became a teacher for the Department of Defense, and moved to Sicily, Italy. One short year later I was promoted to Assistant Principal and moved to Misawa, Japan. We welcomed our first daughter, Chantelle at the end of 2021 and in July of 2022 I decided to step away from education and become a full-time stay at home mom. This time has been invaluable, but I knew I missed education and being in the classroom, which is why I am so incredibly excited to be a new teacher within the AIS Dual Diploma Program!

 

Outside of teaching, I like to spend time at the beach and pool with my husband, Tyler, and my daughter. We also have a little dog named Loki, and we like to travel around and explore the beautiful world around us!
