Gloria Vital-Valdes

Global Teacher

My name is Gloria Vital-Valdes, and I am excited to be a Global Teacher for Academica International Studies. Born in Boston and raised in Miami, I hold a bachelor’s degree in political science and a master’s degree in social science education from Florida International University. I am passionate about creating engaging, student-centered learning experiences that connect classroom lessons to the real world and encourage students to think critically. My aim is to create an inclusive and empowering educational environment that helps every student grow and leaves a lasting impression. Beyond my role as an educator, family is an important part of who I am. My husband and I are the proud parents of three adult daughters and two dogs, Moose and Enzo. We enjoy traveling, live music, and simply spending time together as a family.
