Jaclyn Arencibia

Global Teacher

Greetings! My name is Jaclyn Arencibia, and I’m thrilled to be your Global Educator, as part of the AIS Dual Diploma Program. Even though I am a proud Miami native, I graduated from Trinity College, in Hartford, CT, with a B.S. in Psychology and a minor in Hispanic Studies. After moving back to my local roots, I received a M.S. in Curriculum and Instriction from Florida International University. Currently, my partner and I live in Homestead, FL, where we get to spend quality time soaking in sweet moments with our 4-year-old son and newborn daughter.

My career in education formally began in 2017, with 4^th grade students and expanded when I spent 6 years teaching 6^th grade English Language Arts. However, since my youth, I have always had a passion for teaching and mentoring students. In my free time, I enjoy reading nonfiction, writing, traveling to new places, and being immersed in the culture. I’m genuinely looking forward to meeting each student and sharing in this virtual learning experience together!
