Laura Babbitt

Global Teacher

Hello! My name is Laura Babbitt, and I am very excited to be working with the Academica International Studies Dual Diploma team!  My family moved to Florida when I was two years old, so technically I am a native Floridian. I currently live in Wesley Chapel, Florida. I attended the University of South Florida. I obtained a bachelor’s degree in social studies education and a master’s degree in special education.  For me, teaching has always been my calling – I knew from the first day of school that I would be a teacher! Over the years I have learned that each student is unique and has a story to tell.  I look forward to a wonderful school year where I will get to know all of you.

 

I have one daughter and a very small poodle who is always very close to me-either sitting on my lap or right next to me in my work chair.  I love going to the beach and reading a good book when I have free time.
