  • Hello! My name is Mrs. Amanda Hannah and I am excited to teach students globally through the Dual Diploma program.  I currently live in Jacksonville, Florida which is in North Florida.  Many years ago, I graduated with a degree in Political Science from the University of North Florida.  After graduation, I worked in several local law firms as a legal assistant.  I then decided to transition to something I felt was more challenging, teaching!  Teaching is something I really enjoy and inherited that passion from my family.  My mother was a math and home economics teacher, my great aunt taught in a one room schoolhouse and my great grandfather was an administrator of several one room schoolhouses!  Teaching is very natural for me. Helping others truly understand what they are learning is my goal.

When my two daughters were born, I decided to teach online with a global tutoring company.  I found a new passion for teaching the English language to Chinese and Asian students.  I enjoy learning about new cultures, new places and even phrases in new languages.  Building a sense of belonging and community is a big part of what I like to do in my classroom.

My hobbies include a variety of subjects such as spending time with my family, reading, baking, cooking, sewing of all kinds, watching mystery and crime series/movies, keeping up with the latest Marvel movies and finding adventures in near and far places.  My future goals include traveling to Paris to see an old friend, finishing my private pilot license, helping my daughter make her prom gown and finding a home where I can finally raise chickens!

  • “Jodie, will you read me a story? Will you help me with my homework? Why is my best friend being mean?” I was often asked questions like these by my five younger siblings when we were growing up. I really enjoyed helping them, so it was a completely natural progression for me to become a teacher.

Growing up and living in Miami, Florida my entire life, I earned both my Bachelor’s degree (Elementary Education) and my Master’s degree (Teaching and Learning) from Nova Southeastern University. My Master’s degree was completed entirely online, so I am no stranger to online learning.

Working in both the public and private sectors, I began my career teaching first and fourth grades earning the Teacher of Excellence Award in 2007. My favorite role, however, was leading a gifted program for students ranging from first grade to high school, which included coaching the older students to the State and International levels of the Future Problem Solving Program. Leading dance and baton twirling clubs, directing a fine arts camp, and working with middle school drama students were other teaching experiences I have truly cherished.

Reading, dancing, traveling, and enjoying outdoor activities in sunny South Florida with my husband, son, friends, and family are how I enjoy spending my free time.

Over the years, I’ve had the pleasure of teaching at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. Additionally, I served as the Extended Essay Coordinator for the International Baccalaureate program and was the Department Chair for both primary and high school English Language Arts.

I currently reside in South Florida with my husband and daughter. In my free time, I love spending time at the beach or enjoying a day on the water. For me, the most rewarding part of being a teacher is the meaningful connections I build with my students.

  • Hey there! I’m Yaremis Vega, and I couldn’t be more excited to join the Dual Diploma Program as your teacher. After graduating from Florida International University, I jumped straight into the classroom to teach high school. My passion for education has been the fuel behind my teaching journey, and nothing brings me more joy than helping students fall in love with reading, learning, and exploring new ideas.

I live in sunny Broward, Florida, with my husband and our three wonderful daughters. When I’m not in teacher mode, you’ll probably find me lost in a good book, soaking up some nature, hunting down the best local coffee spots, or hanging at a playground with my girls. This year, I’m aiming to create a classroom vibe that’s both fun and full of growth. Let’s make it an awesome year together!

  • My passion for teaching shines brightest through my work with the AIS Dual Diploma program. Guiding students in this innovative, global learning environment has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my career. I love the way AIS allows me to connect with learners and families from around the world, building bridges across cultures and inspiring growth beyond the traditional classroom.

My journey as an educator began after graduating Magna Cum Laude from Florida International University in 2009. I started in a brick-and-mortar elementary classroom, where I thrived on the curiosity and excitement of young minds. Transitioning into AIS has expanded that joy in new ways, allowing me to embrace virtual teaching, foster international connections, and even sponsor the Social Media Club, where I collaborated with students to create meaningful engagement across countries.

Outside of teaching, I was born and raised in Miami, Florida, and now live in Naples with my husband and our two wonderful boys. I enjoy reading, football, bike riding, tackling DIY projects, and spending time with family. I live by a simple philosophy: stay positive, work hard, and make it happen.

  • Hi there! I’m Melody, and I have been teaching since 2014. I’ve loved every step of the journey and truly embraced the opportunity to make a difference in my students’ lives.

I hold endorsements in both English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) and Reading, which reflect my commitment to creating inclusive, engaging learning environments. It’s incredibly rewarding to support students from diverse backgrounds and abilities in their language journey.

Outside the classroom, my greatest joy is being a mom to my son, who fills my days with love and laughter. I also cherish time spent cooking something comforting or escaping into the pages of a good book.
