Rachel Osborne

Global Teacher

I began teaching in 2013 in the Florida public school system, making my transition to teaching virtually in 2021. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Humanities from Florida State University, a Master of Education from the University of Florida, and a second Master’s in Religious Studies from the University of South Florida, focusing on religious conflict.

I love to watch anime, cartoons, and play video games with my teenage daughter. When I’m not doing that, I enjoy traveling, exploring nature, learning new skills (like woodworking and climbing trees), and crocheting amigurumi. I’m a huge Science Fiction nerd, also read a lot of comic books, in addition to non-fiction and a healthy dose of YA fiction. As a teacher, I often bring these interests into my classes to provide examples of concepts or make connections to historical events.
