Richard Kaetzal

Global Teacher

I was born in Cleveland, Ohio, so I am, of course, a huge fan of all Cleveland sports. I moved to Kentucky at age seven and eventually attended and graduated from the University of Kentucky, where I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Social Studies Education. After graduating I moved to Orlando, Florida where I currently reside with my wonderful wife and two wild but super cute dogs. In addition to teaching for over a decade, I also work as a tour guide taking people to swim with manatees and on trips to Kennedy Space Center, and several other fun and educational adventures. I also played lacrosse in high school and college and coached lacrosse at the middle and high school level for fifteen years. In my free time I enjoy gardening and cooking, but traveling is my greatest passion. My wife and I try to visit a new place in the United States or around the rest of the world at least twice a year. We love to learn about the culture and cuisine in the places we visit, and enjoy getting to meet wonderful people all around the world. It’s an absolute honor to get the chance to work with amazing students from all over the world!
