My name is Lisa and I am an eighteen-year-old student from Germany. Back in 2023, I wanted to improve my English and expand my knowledge by applying to the AIS Dual Diploma Program. I can say without a doubt that I have come a long way, and it was and still is a great adventure. I had the chance to explore subjects that are not offered in German schools, like Life Management Skills and Concepts of Engineering and Technology. I gained a lot in the past two years – not just in terms of academic development, such as learning how to write essays, developing efficient studying techniques, accomplishing meaningful goals, and so forth, but also in terms of how I now see things as a person. The live sessions have to be among the best things, looking back. They pushed me out of my comfort zone, and as a result, I was able to enhance my pronunciation and increase my self-assurance while speaking. Yet, it was so worthwhile, even if it was not always simple. This coming term will be the last semester, and for all the privileges that this program has provided to me, I remain truly grateful. It has been a life-changing experience – from great and supportive teachers to friendly and open class fellows – helping me grow not only as a student but also as a person.
