Lisette Pickard graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. Her professional background includes certifications in the areas of Elementary Education, English 6-12, Social Science 6-12, Art K-12, and English Language Learners. She worked with students of different ages in the traditional classroom for five years and made the transition to virtual education in 2014. She is currently a Global Teacher at Academica Virtual Education Dual Diploma Program and has worked with students in several countries such as Italy, Spain, Israel, and Argentina. She was also named Global Teacher of the Year in 2016. Some of her hobbies include: surfing, kayaking, fishing, riding bike, learning, yoga, painting, scuba diving, traveling, and hiking.
