Maciel Molina

Hi there! My name is Maciel Molina, and I’m proud to serve as the US High School Diploma (Dual Diploma) Coordinator at Colegio Técnico Profesional CIT in Belén, Costa Rica. With a background in English as a Second Language Teaching, I’ve worked with the Dual Diploma pathway for the past two years, and I consider it a privilege to help students access truly global academic opportunities.

Since we launched the program at CIT, I’ve seen how impactful it is, especially in a vocational context. Our first graduating class successfully balanced the expectations of their vocational education with the rigor of the Dual Diploma, demonstrating impressive resilience and academic maturity. In these two years, participation has grown significantly, and students have strengthened their English proficiency while developing the mindset of global citizens: independent learners, confident communicators, and young people prepared for university, at home or abroad. What I value most is that the program delivers world-class learning without requiring families to leave their community, opening doors to top universities and international careers.

The program has also enriched our school culture. We host parent information sessions, set up open-house stands to engage the community, and elevate student testimonials so families can see the impact firsthand.

I believe this program is essential in strengthening and building the skills students need in our modern society while opening marvelous doors for the professional futures, and I’m honored to guide our students on that journey.
