Catherine Grimes
Global TeacherMy name is Catie Grimes, and I am excited to share in your academic adventures! I have been teaching since 2001, and I am proud to add “Global Teacher” to my repertoire. I was born and raised in NE Florida, and my family and I adore living in our nation’s oldest city: St. Augustine, Florida.
While I enjoy visiting the city, I find myself happiest in our modest home in the big woods playing with our children, horses, chickens, and dogs. If you ever want me to share what it is like to live a small farm life, feel free to ask me about it! My husband (a firefighter) and I have been married for twenty-two years, and our two sons (eighteen and twenty-one) are both currently studying for their life-long careers. One is completing his apprenticeship to become an electrician, and the other is studying Electrical Engineering at Ole Miss. We also have twin daughters who are in fifth grade and are sweet and spunky barrel racing beauties.
When I am not checking tasks off my to-do lists, I enjoy doing anything that involves putting my crazy-creative brain and hands to good use. While I enjoy sharing these tidbits about me, I am incredibly eager to learn more about my students from around the world and partake in conversations that make being a teacher so much FUN!
