Cody Yacavone

Global Teacher

Cody Yacavone was born and raised in Southbury, Connecticut. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish Language and Literature, and Master’s degree in Teaching Secondary Education from Quinnipiac University. Before the Dual Diploma program, Cody taught high school level Spanish for two years in Columbus, Ohio, but left to pursue her interest in becoming a global educator. Cody’s teaching philosophy stems from a quotation by Frank Smith that states, “One language sets you in a corridor for life, two languages open every door along the way”. Through her teaching, Cody hopes to continue opening the doors of the world for her students.

Outside of teaching, she enjoys traveling, cooking, and spending time with her family.
