Global Teacher

Hello! My name is Desiree Weissman, and I’m passionate about helping students discover their strengths and feel confident in their learning. I’m a Florida native, born and raised in Miami, and I earned my bachelor’s degree in English literature from Florida International University. I’ve been teaching since 2017, and since 2022, I’ve had the amazing opportunity to teach with Academica International Studies, where I get to encourage students to think creatively, take on challenges, and reach their full potential.

I’m a huge Harry Potter fan, and when I’m not teaching, I love traveling, getting lost in a good book, and spending time with my family.

My goal is to make our class fun, engaging, and a place where everyone feels safe and inspired to learn.
