Elizabeth Ruiz

Global Teacher

My name is Elizabeth Ruiz. I have been an educator since 2004. I have a masters degree in curriculum and instruction and a bachelors degree in psychology from the University of Illinois. I truly feel that each step of my career has challenged me to enhance my knowledge of teaching. I taught in Chicago for 5 years and have spent the rest of my career in sunny Miami Florida. I am very excited to be part of the dual diploma program family, as it has allowed me to live out my passion for enriching my students’ lives, reaching outside the confines of a traditional classroom. I am married with two beautiful children and have had the honor of helping my husband raise his first child. When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, traveling, and enjoying the beauty of nature all around us.
